So I'm getting to a point where I'd like a bit more power (w/o loosing top speed)... I have a full remus exhaust system that removes the cat, I'm looking for an air filter (but haven't found one)... is there a chip? an engine remap? something else? I'd just like a little more "oomph" out of it... any ideas?

buy a k1300,
chip it, filter it, exhaust it all you like, the increase in oooomph will be small,
unless you fancy a turbo?

turboo would be fun :-D Are there bolt on kits? I'd be tempted... seriously. :-)

do a google theres turbo and supercharger kits out there

I went down the pipe/Power Commander road... I can't say there were huge power gains, more that it changed the nature of the power delivery, more mid-range torque and cleaner running throughout...

thats mine too, not found anything to increase top speed though
you could try a fuel pressure regulator of a early gs1200 or k model , (check serial numbers , ) half a bar more pressure, makes the bike a bit better , worth the 20 quid from motorworks

Don't bother - it won't make any discernible difference to the performance and is likely to compromise the filtration.

If you want more power without going the forced induction route then it's a matter of head work, camshafts and increased compression ratio but you're liable to compromise bottom end and mid range torque in favour of top end horsepower.

Unifilter

I have a unifilter

http://www.uniflow.com.au/

You use NU 7305KIT which also fits the 1200.

You have to modify the air inlets slightly to fit the pre filters.

So far I like it, washable foam (therefore cheaper in the long run), much better if it gets wet, more purposeful inlet noise!, and slightly better power and response especially in the mid range. My otherwise standard 800 does feel a bit "zappier" compared to another standard one I have ridden.

Would like to add a slip on; beowulf, Barrett? when finances permit.

That's quite interesting ... Have you done the mod and does it upset the PC in any way ...?
