I am a big fan of the Givi Airflow, however I could not get one for my R1250GS so I made my own polycarbonate "lower screen" and added the Givi upper screen and fittings along with aftermarket screen supports - it works a treat. I am thinking of selling just the lower screens on Ebay.

Pictures definitely needed. This is the only thing about my R1250GS that is worse than my previous 2011 GS with GIVI Airflow fitted.

I shall making another one as I managed to scratch this one. Also I want to chamfer the edges

Interesting...
I had Givi Airflow on many of my previous bikes and it always worked well. On my 2021 GS, after spending money on few screens and spoilers that didn't work (buffeting problem, not wind noise), I decided to make my own Givi Airflow one year ago. So I did it, just like OP had it done. But, it didn't work. The buffeting was a bit better but not solved. So, it was no joy for me. I even tilted all kit towards me by making lower bolts spacers (and new bolts). It was again just a bit better but not solved. Eventually, I solved it with keeping the spacers, installing Wunderlich Marathon screen and adding MRA spoiler on the top. Tested it at max speed and have zero buffeting now.

I looked at this some time back,

I was after the dimensions for all the Givi screen mounts, to see if any of the other airflow systems fitted to other bikes may fit

I think it was either the AT or Tenere that showed promise,

i'd be interested

The only thing i would add, is the original Airflow needed to be braced, as it's alot of real estate to mount on the std fixings

FUGLY. But gotta agree. I thought that screen was one of the best I have ever used. Great idea

I originally modified an XT1200Z Airflow lower screen by cutting it to the same profile as the bottom of the R1250GS screen and it worked very well, however the screen was made of Acrylic and the holes I drilled in it enabled cracks to appear shortly afterwards. I designed this latest screen to have the same profile but now I laser cut the profile before moulding to shape, I also use polycarbonate so it is unbreakable.

I did exactly the same with my Pan European a few years back, best screen I ever had on it. Also tried it on my FJR, but it just didn’t work on that, weird!! Currently using one on my Supertenere too.

Had a Givi Airflow on my 2013 Versys 1000, it was brilliant! On that basis, I bought one a couple of years ago for my Gen 2 Super Tenere and it is brilliant on that too! It may not be pretty, but handsome is as handsome does as Forest Gump once said.
