After just returned from a very hot trip around Germany i found that the standard screen does not allow a great deal of air flow to hit the rider. Any one got the Givi screen and does it allow air flow to cool the rider?

Yes, with the airflow you can remove the top sliding part of the screen in hot weather.

My givi keeps the wind off but there again that's what I bought it for. Yep you can pull the sliding screen out easy enough then you'll get the wind in your face.

Just don't try sliding it upwards while riding...especially on a motorway at 70mph. Don't ask how I know...

Major design flaw if you ask me...no lugs at the bottom to stop the thing sliding out completely.

Of course if you're not a twat like me then you'll have no problems.

Just another opinion.
I had the Givi and it's great for keeping the wind off you, better than stock.
Was heading down to the Pyrenees September 2015 and thought I'd take the top part off as it would keep too much cool air from me. Big mistake!
The turbulence with just the bottom part was far worse than a stock screen. It's obviously designed as a complete item and it does that job really well. on it's own, not so good.
Remember, screens are a subjective thing. What's good for one person, may not be suitable for another.
For me, I went back to stock as I prefer to be able to see over the screen a bit more and found that when it rained, water was forced down the inside of the visor.
Like I say, it's subjective.

I don't feel that it provides airflow, quite the contrary, but that's kind of the idea, right?

To be honest, I haven't played with the adjustments but it's great at blocking the wind and my wife loves it when I put the screen up, she gets a lot of protection. Although, I don't love it as the screen is not clear/clear and it's a bit annoying.

I'm a short/small guy so maybe bigger/taller lads would be able to look above the screen when extended, but not my case.

Still, I do love it as I definitely don't live in a hot country. :)

Machineart Moto slipscreen - all you'll ever need for 8 months of the year, zero buffeting, nice smooth airflow, no back pressure, lovely! Not surprised BMW made the Raylle with a shortie, one of the better ergonomic decisions they've made in years.

The Givi Airflow needs the beak top deflectors (winglets) in winter. But in summer you can take them off for a great blast around your ribs and under arms. It's turbulent but great for body cooling and your head still sits in smooth airflow.

Try it with the top slider thingy and the wind blast will blow your helmet back.
