Hello can anyone help please.
I have just purchased new a pair of Givi Alaska side cases and they look brilliant.
I also purchased ( and this is where the error comes up) a secondhand set of Givi frames apparently suitable for my CB500X. (Baby Africa Twin!)
The cases are mono key but don't attach to the frames which don't have a protruding lug.
Question: can the frames be adapted or have simply bought the wrong bits?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
Robin

PS previously a GS rider but bike too heavy for me now!

I am au fait with most GIVI stuff after many years of use. Can you post a picture of the frames? The three fixing points, two ‘mushrooms’ at the bottom plus the single ‘toblerone’ at the top are removable so maybe the previous owner of the frames removed some or all of the fixings, possibly to use soft panniers or ally panniers that use the ‘puck’ system.

Thanks I have sent tteo photos but realised I shouldn't have done that. I'll try and include them here but my phone skills aren't great!

There are various frames for different types of panniers in the Givi range. You’ve probably bought the wrong ones. For instance, there are 3 types of frames for my bike, but only one fits my V35’s.

I saw an ad for a CB500F yesterday where the chap had pannier rails for the V series panniers but had somehow cobbled ally boxes onto them. They sat at an angle, as they would do! He was most put out when I said they looked odd 😂

The single ‘toblerone’ part at the top might be Givi part number Z124. Contact Givi in Daventry to check.
