Givi M5 top plate

Does anyone know if the Givi M5 top plate will bolt directly onto the original 1150 rack?

On the 1100 the M5 plate uses an adapter plate i think it was a SR694 the givi website http://www.givi.co.uk/My-motorcycle/ claims u need the same plate that sits on top of the BMW sports rack with the M5 plate on top

Hi Degsey, I may have misinterpreted your message. Do you mean you are selling a E250 or you use one on your GS and it works ok? Looking at a pic on the Givi website it looks as though this plate would bolt directly onto the standard GS rack AND replace the need for the M5 top plate. Is this correct?

Yes I should bolt straight on to the rack, sorry I didn't make myself clear

i still think you need the top plate it has the lugs for the topbox
