Gents,

Has anyone any experience of the GIVI screen on an 1150 GS?

I was thinking about dumping the original screen in favour of one of those.

My reasons for choosing Givi are that it still looks similar to the original, albeit slightly wider and taller.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Cheers

Screens seem to be a personal thing, what works for one does'nt work for another.

I fitted a Givi screen and found it a vast improvement over the original. I then tried an MRA Vario and found it even better still.

Again, it's a matter of opinion but I think the MRA looks much better. The dark screen compliments the other black bits on the bike and hence looks more a part of it rather than something 'stuck on'.

Now. If you want a second hand Givi. Givi me a PM!

With Tobinators

Dave.
I've got one with Tobinators. Works better than standard. No buffeting. Still get wind blast on shoulders and just on top of helmet. If I adjust Tobinators to clear helmet I end up looking through screen, which I don't want to do.
I cruise comfortable at 90 and can happily troll along at 60 with visor open. Fitting no problem, all holes lined up perfectly with standard.

As Mike says it's a personal thing. I'm not far from you, Maidstone, drop me a pm if you want to meet up over the weekend and you can try mine out before you make a decision.

Cheers Jim

Got one Spare

Shame you live so far away I have one spare in the garage. However if there is anyone else up in the midlands that wants to try a Givi before buying your welcome to come around and borrow the screen for a week a so.
