Probably been ask before but could not find the reference. Anyone knows where can I find a GIvi screen for my eleven?
Who is the dealer/importer/distributor, etc?

Again, is for an 1100 and not for one of those ugly 1150's, Adv, etc.

Thanks a lot, Yosi

As been said, order one from your nearest stockist. If you don't know then email GivI direct....

I found them to be very helpful.:beer:

1150 = duck on drugs
1100 = mosquito

They are all ugly, thats why I ride and not look at them:p

I have got one you can have . It's got 4 small holes drilled in it where I added my own screen extension to the top but otherwise it's in good order. If you pay the postage it's yours or alternatively I can get it delivered to Stoke Poges and you can pick it up from someone I work with .
It's gonna cost you a couple of beers sometime though :beerjug:
I have got a Wunderlich Vario now - much better than the Givi IMHO.
Cheers

Wow! That's a good mod....it's kept the flies out of the oil cooler:D :D :D

Great!!

That's great!! tell me which way is more convenient for you.
I'll pick it up from anywere. Sorry, but what is "Stoke Poges"?

Thanks a lot, my friend. And I think I'll surprise you with rather more than a couple of beers.

Thats is aluminium radiator foil from the local DIY store - costs bugger all and makes a sweet oil cooler guard for no money. I think the sheet was about a fiver.

Thanks for the map Jon. Cheers - that's a big help for Yosi.

Your are welcome. Give me a few days to arrange for it to get to Stoke Poges. I'll send you an email with the address and the contact person. My company has an office there so I need to find out who is going over with their car soon and I'll ask them to take it over for you to pick up. We have people shuttling back and forwards quite regularly but there are a lot of people on holiday just now so I hope you don't need it too urgently.
You can take the extender off if you don't like it but I am 6'3" and it worked for me.
Cheers for now

Neat, I'll probably give that a go. I've seen radiator blinds for cold weather but as it seems to have taken not many miles to collect half the local fly population in my oil cooler (found a moth living behind the screen yesterday too!) a removable, washable guard looks like a nice, simple improvement. Is it just an interference fit?

You have to unscrew the beak - then I just slid the foil up in front of the oil cooler. It is very pliable so just bend it to fit with your fingers and screw it all back together. Looks OK and works well at keeping the bugs out. It will also protect against small stones if you are inclined to go off road at all.
If you search under 'oil cooler' you will find some threads of other solutions but I don't think any are as cheap as this :D

Or quite as neat - even with a GS logo :) I can even make it cheaper....I've got an old bodywork kit with some of that mesh in the shed...I guess the resin will be way past it's use-by...but the mesh won't :D :D :D

If I get this done...it'll be my 'maiden' modification :hammer!

Just be a bit careful the mesh size isn't too small - you want to be sure you aren't restricting the airflow to the cooler - especially in the present weather .....it's 38 degress outside here today :sunshine :sunshine :sunshine

Don't foget to put up some pics of your first mods when they are done. It'll give us a ll a good laugh :D

Knowing my 'handiness' you are probably right about the laugh. :) Nah..I'm OK as long as it doesn't involve drilling! Thanks for all the info :beerjug: May leave it until tomorrow - UK summer should be finished by then!

(It was 36 INSIDE the office here yesterday...air con kaput :( )

The job is really simple - I am sure you will get on fine so long as you don't attempt it whilst pissed in this heat.

I am supposed to be heading into Germany , just east of Koln this weekend. They are talking about it getting up to 39 degrees on sunday there....:yikes :barf :nenau could be a bit too hot.....but then inspired by all those great Paris Dakar heroes who wouldn't even take off their thermal undies until it tops 45 degrees.....I'll probably go anyway :D
