Givi tank ring/bag

I took my GS LC with keyless in for its first service yesterday and mentioned I had bought a Givi tank bag with the fuel cap ring. I was advised that BMW have instructed their dealers not to fit them, for two reasons. First is that the ring interferes with the keyless signal and secondly, being a plastic "tank" the strain distorts the tank and can/has led to fuel leakages.

I've had mine fitted for a year and a half with zero issues with the keyless or leaks. Sounds like the dealer is talking rubbish.

Its not like the receiver module is in the cap haha! How could it possibly interfere

I have keyless & a Givi tank lock bag fitted. No problems with either.
