I have a bone to pick with you - it didn't take the full 10 mins, so I had half a cup of coffee left at the end of the job!

Good job I'd ordered it since BMW haven't managed to get me any panniers for my new bike yet.

I think the plastic version looks a bit grim. I spoke to Givi at Garmisch and they do an aluminium version which is a flat'ish plate with the usual fixings for the LC which takes the Givi top boxes. They demonstrated it to me at the show. Its part number is SRA5108 and is more in keeping with the standard of the rest of the bike.
I'm going down that route.

Your right but £117!!!

Someone needs to tell Mark Hooton of cymarc. Plus it would be in stainless and you can buy the plastic bits to hold the top box on from nippy normans for£15.00 ALT-GIVI-1-4103
