Givi Trekker Top box

Anyone any experience of these? I am considering buying one and obviously the appropriate fitting kit however my question is:

Once the fitting plate is mounted can you still access the rear compartment cubby hole where the seat release is? I have a Sertao but looking at the part number it is the same kit as the Dakar.

Most of the mounts for the G650GS are horseshoe shaped to give access to the cubby hole.

We have the SW Motech mount for our Givi, it is a little more complicated to get to the cubby hole but still accessible. The beauty of the SW Motech mount is that you can get different mounts that quickly interchange. We use a Givi trekker, another make topbox (that eludes me at mo), and also a soft luggage plate all interchanged in seconds.

Possibly, depends on how big, what model etc, is it a vario

Bob, this Top Box is BMW OE 31L Part No 71 60 7 710 982

It has some very light marks on one side from when I went down avoiding a loose horse. These are surface marks, not deep scrapes.

Harry, thanks for the offer, I have had a look at it and its not what I'm after, not big enough, I am looking at a 46 / 52Lt box or may have considered a vario.

Yours is a bargain for someone, having just checked the price £269 new

Spoke to the supplier, they tell me you can still access the cubby hole, so trekker ordered.

Dmac, I'm unsure about the fit to your 02 650GS, if your rack is the same as
the latest G650GS then of course it would.

I'm in Bangor, NI so no post probs!

I can't do pics, box is like new apart from light scratches one side.
