Please don't be misled by the registration plate - I am NOT an undercover GIVI employee :P .

I was looking for a way to permanently transport a pair of disc locks on my GS and as they wouldn't fit under the saddle, I ended up splashing out £40-odd on this three-piece, under saddle bag set from Givi. There weren't many useful photos of it on the Internet, so I wasn't sure just how bulky it would be or how well it might blend in with the bike :nenau. In the end, I discovered that it fitted in extremely snuggly into the gap between the rear light and the parcel rack and is hardly noticeable in day-to-day use :) .

I can't help thinking that some (bored :rolleyes:) designer at Givi must have looked at that gap on the GS and thought to him/herself, either;

a) Hmmm, I could design something to go in that space that would really benefit the average GS rider .
b) Hmmm, I could design something to go in that space that would really benefit my company's profit margin :D .

Either way, I like it :thumb !

Incidentally, there's no point to this thread, other than to show fellow GSers what this trio of little bags looks like in 'real life' (as opposed to in the stock shot that appears in every listing for it online), but you are welcome to start a discussion/flame war if you see fit :P .

Does it affect mounting the panniers? As it would be a pain to keep taking them off every one in a while.
Other than that I really like the idea as it's a great place for locks and bits.

Don't think that bike is set up for panniers?

Wunderlich do an under seat only version if that floats any boats. I keep my tyre puncture parts in this.

Not it doesn’t. I’ve got one and standard BMW panniers fit no problems

I've been using one of these for a few months but found that the Velcro straps for the side bags interfered with the fitting of the Vario top box so I am only using the centre bit. Use it for holding a disklok and is fine for that.

Had these bags for a few years and they are excellent I originally had them on my GS which had the top box fitted - you can have both but need to feed the Velcro fasteners into the right place

The velcro straps don't interfere with the mounting of my (Givi Trekker Outback) top case, although I did remove the mounting plate specifically to fit these bags on and as I don't plan to ever fit panniers to the bike I am quite happy to leave the bags permanently in place. To that end, I've tried to make them more secure with plastic cable ties running around the straps (to stop them from working loose).

As it happens, the central bag is just the right size to accept the empty case for my BMW Navigator (VI) unit. So, when I get off the bike, I unclip my sat nav, throw it in its case and carry it around with me.

With just the right amount of space for my two disc locks (and a little bottle of visor cleaner ;) ) in the outer bags, this is a luggage accessory that could almost have been designed specifically to suit my needs. Expensive for what it is, but then what accessories aren't expensive for these bikes :D !?

Looks like I need to have another look at how I fit the side bags. Any pics AP11 LAD?

Had these bags for nearly a year now.
Perfect size for a disc lock and puncture repair kit.
Even managed to fit lightweight waterproof leggings in one side.
Cannot fault them really.

Sorry pal no as I’m now on a GSA. Simple though - loosen screws for the insert and feed Velcro’s between insert and frame. When happy with position relighted screws for insert. Hope info helps
