Has anyone had or seen any good ideas for a small sealable box to hold V-wipes, headlight cleaning rag etc etc? To mount either on the middle of the handlebars, or somewhere 'reachable' on the front fairing.

One of the good things about my Deauville was that it had 2 of this kind of thing and I miss this on the GS.

Buy a handlebar bag from Nippy Normans or wunderlich. Dead easy to fit and really useful. I keep my sunglasses and my v wipe in there amongst a few other bits.

TTFN.

saw a similar sounding thing velcroed to a GS dash on a paege pull in place couple of years ago..

He also said it was dead handy and used it to stash change and paege tickets in :aidan

I think he just cut two slots in the bottom and used velcro strapping to hold it on to the bars or something :nenau

I've got the Wunderlich handlebar bag, and had it for 3 Years. Whilst its not marketed as being waterproof, it certainly keeps the water out. I keep gate remote control (delicate) in it, pen, passes etc. No problem.

I think someone on ADVRider extended the handlebar riser bolts upwards and secured a small pencil case type unit to them resulting in something that turned with the bars, would not rotate around them, did not hide the clocks or foul on the tank.

Other than that I have a Motrax lock carrier (zip edged bag) which I strap over the rear seat (when I don't have a Pelican case mounted instead of the seat.

:thumb For the Wunderlich Handlebar bag. I have this on my R1200GS, Stuff all sorts of things in it. This attatches by velcro to the handlebars and by elastic to the mirrors, or hand gaurds.
Hine Gerick do one, [ Tuareg ] if you have the adventure this fits around the cross bar. Got one in the garage looking for a new kind owner. :augie

I do not know where it is supplied in Europe but in Oz look at http://www.motorradgarage.com.au

I have one of those spherical washing powder container thingies secured up front in which I store a piece of microfibre cloth to clear my visor, mirrors, and headlights.

Along similar lines.

A tennis ball, with about 1/4 to a 1/3 chopped off the top.

I've used something like that for years but recently bought one of these from NN....

Okay, at a tenner it's a bit more expensive than a second-hand tennis ball but it's a lot smaller, it can be used easily and as well as the sponge, it has a wiper blade too.
