Try logging in again from the Googlemail front page- maybe your cookies have been corrupted?

I have no problems logging into Gmail however my spam folder is just getting bigger and bigger! Emails are still in there dated 30 October so for some reason the 30day delete isn't working.

How do you report problems with gmail?
