Goes well for a 650!

Well done for solving the puzzle of why they've designed in way less road presence WR.
;)

Hmm, I reckon that road presence is mainly in the eye of the rider.

I mean that someone on ANY bike with the riding position of a GS (1150 or 1200) where the rider can see over cars, hedges, look into bedrooms etc will feel as if they have road presence. I'm 6'4" sitting down (5'10" standing up) and I feel king of the road on my 12. Doesn't mean to say I am though.

Having seen both models on the road I don't see any difference in 'presence' except perhaps 1150 riders clutching at straws to justify their steed. Don't, it's a cracking bike.

All IMO as usual:)

I've not knocked the 12 for a long long time....not seriously anyway....it all got boring TBH.....but I totally stand behind the road presence thing....

I didn't really see it properly until there was an f650, a 12gs and an Adv lined up parked at the hogroast (may even have been Land's End thinking about it ......from a distance, the 12 didn't look any different from the 650, but the adv completely dominated the trio.

But as you say, it's what it makes you feel like that's important.
