Going for this...

MIA - Hadockchopper, Bez, Jackass, DaveG..... Att (Although I think he's just hiding under the bed)

There is a Carers Away Day going on here at the moment so if it's a national event it might explain the above having to cope on their own and talking to the wall instead of you. :rob

Try speaking nicely to us youngsters for a change instead of telling us all to fuck off every time we draw breath. :thumb

Thanks, Clifton. That sounds like really good advice. I bought the docking kit and backrest - Lynn said she needed it ;) Haven't bought the luggage rack, but it seems like a sensible idea. Do I have to replace the long aerial at the back if I do that?

Already looking at Vance and Hines FP3 - thanks mate.

I don't know if a rack would interfere with the aerial or not Malcvtr because neither my tourers had one. I'd have to think not though and if you already have the dock on you could simply try the rack at the dealer. The rack and backrest do work alone or together though. Oh get the neat little magnetic covers for the spools to dress it up. :D http://www.harley-davidson.com/store/small-rear-docking-hardware-cover-kit

Got her back home. And the bike :thumb2

Looking good. :thumb2

Try asking Melch about the tour-pak fitting and the re positioning of the aerial as he is our resident topbox guru. :D

Top boxes on street glides are banned - it's the law!!

There is not much I don't know about 'repositioning' topboxes :augie

It's a 2016 Street Glide Special with 407 miles on the clock. 18 months warranty left on it.

The stock cans will probably be the first things to go. Any thoughts, advice, and the inevitable piss-taking welcome.

As a recent HD enthusiast ( bought a Road King ) can I congratulate and hope you enjoy the grin factor. Quite different from other bikes but great fun.

The ride home was good fun, but a bit "crashy" over bumps. Took off the pannier and checked the preload: it was set on zero. Probably not enough... It's now 17 clicks up :D

No, they're coil-overs. I think they were bottoming out with zero preload over the harsher bumps. Most of the time, it was fine.

On my test ride my spine was playfully rearranged by the audicity of a white line in the middle of the road. A forum member explain the pump thing, I bought one and mine was on zero. I bought a pump and duly pumped to fat bastard with luggage and snuggle bunny mode. Massive difference. Outrageously priced but if you have air Susp you need a pump thingy

I have an air pump for my glide and it was only £50.00ish....Not exactly outrageous is it.
