Going to Llangollen on Friday from SE?

Ok ... I think if we are going via the A40 route then let's meet in the Old Town of Beaconsfield. There is a roundabout in the town that has a big pub on the corner (left hand side if you are heading towards Wycombe). Big layby/parking outside the pub.

How about 11am?

If you come off the M40 (from central london then take exit 2), then follow sign into Beaconsfield. You will hit mini roundabout that either continues onto A40 or off to A355 to Amersham. Follow the A40 route into the Old town and the roundabout I mean is the next one. You will pass a whole row of shops/resturants. You can see the local church from there.

Just as I said .. meet at that pub on this small roundabout in the old town :D

Sounds good Steve.......we could meet at Witham services and head up from there mebbe?????

I'll have a look at the route when I get back to Dartford tonight ;)

I'll be riding from Chingford so I'll be heading around the M25 and then up the M40...so I'll meet you all there, unless anyone is passing my way?

See you at 11am...:thumb2 Anyone got a route yet, I was thinking about heading into Wales a a bit after leaving the A40 then taking some nice twisties to the campsite - but then again I've never been so...whatever happens, happens...
 
Looks like I'll be meeting Mr and Mrs Speggo at 11am on the A12/halstead road roundabout just west of Colchester.......N51 53.495 E0 49.660

We're going up a fairly direct way but avoiding nearly all the nasty roads....i don't fancy sitting on a motorway all day :nono
