given the interest recently on what bits are best to improve the bike - my opinions, all personal of course and mostly towards the budget end of whats available!
Comfort - on both the 1150 and the 1200 the bar risers made a big difference, if you are around 6ft or more or are blessed with short arms its a boon, expect some fine tuning though, i ended up changing the seat height to tilt me back more and get the full benefit (I have the NN radius risers but Jaws of Norfolk have a budget version), you also have to butcher any tank bag attachment you have to ensure you can turn the bars
Engine - the accelerator device is good value, whilst not a massive leap in power the running on part or changing throttle is much smoother and going through town you lose the jerkiness and most of BMWs luvvely transmission lash, good mod for £30
Dirt - front mudguard extender and rear hugger or splash guard should be standard, the removal of filth from the front of the engine and the swing arm joints can only help the fight against corrosion
Lights - LED markers from BIKEVIS on a homemade mount (LEDs will run happily from a Canbus monitored supply, no relays needed), as I am not a Knight Rider dont see the point yet of HID but have changed the H7 lamp for a Philips Motovision with an orange hue which seems to stand out
Next mods? probably a better screen and maybe some street tyres
