Good pension / hotel / restaurant / cafe on Timmelsjoch - Passo Rombo

On one of the great passes between Italy and Austria, I stopped at an excellent place on the (more interesting) Italian side about half way to the top.

Very good food at a decent price.

Very good views down into the valley.

They have 10 'double' rooms, for EUR 60 a night bed & breakfast. If the food was anything to go by I would guess that they are good.

Stopped for a photo break last year. Several bikes in the small car park. Just below the clouds at the time, but I agree it looks a great place for a stop.

There is a small car park (if that is not to grand a word) right by the hotel, with enough room for perhaps five bikes.

Across the road and very slightly back down the pass, there is a larger parking area. It's in the bottom right hand corner of the picture.

The pension is certainly popular with local riders and visitors.

I did that pass with Bri about 3 years ago along with Passo Rollo and one that was single track and no barriers ......

Good fun mind .....

I think it's named in my Zumo as F@CK ME ! ..........

Ridden past it many times, I may stop and check it out now......................I thought it was just a cafe - but looks a pretty stop to stay overnight
