The file cannot be read because it uses a subsequent file version.
This program can read MPS files as well as GDB files version 2 and below

What do i do now?

That means your version of mapsource is out of date.....that file is a version 3.gdb file.

You ought to update the mapsource (open the prog and select update from the tools menu IIRC)

In the mean time though, I've saved it and rezipped it (too big to upload otherwise) as a version2 file which you should be able to use

PS I haven't tested it though so do that before you set of and rely on it

Right, I'm off camping in Mersea for a couple of nights so won't be back on here until Tuesday afternoon.

I'm still doing this on Wednesday morning, 09.30 at Tesco in Chelmsford for a 10.00 departure. I will probably have son and heir as a pillion and have (sort of) arranged to meet Mr Badger of this parish in Aldeburgh between 1.00 and 1.30 for fish and chips.
