From Norway to Turkey in one sentence.

Day off today do some sight seeing and in a hotel with free wifi so thought I would try and load a couple of pictures see how it goes. Pictures are from both ends of the trip, one of Sue on the ferry from Lapeski to Gelibolu,Turkey, 38 deg+ by 12.00 everyday. second is of Ferry from Andennes (island of Andoya Norway) to Grylfyord inside arctic circle but still sunny and high 20 degs.
Done approx 9500 miles (each bike) and bikes serviced at just over 6500 miles and both bikes used a ltr of oil, total(outside service) no problems. new rear tyre on my gs before Turkey and only needed just topped up the tyre pressures after a few rough roads around Altinkam and Mevishir.
Sue has been keeping a diary and hopefully will be able to do a proper trip report at some point.
Still another 200 miles for ferry to Italy tomorrow then may be Tuscany before heading north to colder climes and home.

Finally back home. 13 weeks and just short of 12000 miles. Had about 8/9 days off riding in Turkey, used the mini buses and walked
still over 1000 miles a week, and we didn't ride everyday. Didn't realise how knackerd we were but felt sort of “spaced out” the last couple of days and slept for over 12 hours last night feeling much better.
Very proud of Sue. 2 years ago she had never been on a bike now she can handle a fully loaded 1200 as well as any one, she has covered over 20000 miles since then and over about 18000 were in Europe, also ridden roads made me twitch a bit. I asked if she was ok on several occasions after a bit of "tricky"
road she said "well if your bike will go then so will mine". what a star
Have been thinking of a ride report but finding it difficult as to where to start or what pictures to post. Going to start sorting pictures and remembering where and when over the weekend but have best part of 1000 to sort through. Have loads of info on stoppovers and ferries etc
If you fancy a change and like it HOT then Northern Greece is verry possable in a 14 day holiday and worth the trip including a nice overnight cruise from Venice to Greece. Fantastic hotel in Meteorea about 120 miles from ferry terminal in Greece very bike friendly and awsom roads. http://www.arsenis-meteora.gr/indexen.php
