Gower Peninsular

Assuming your coming down the M4 then you could take J42 and head for Mumbles via Swansea on the A483 then A4067, sampling the famous Joe's ice cream in Oystermouth or Verdi's a bit further round (popular bike meet at the weekends) come to Blackpill and turn left onto B4436 to Pennard and turn right after Kittle and left onto A4118. this will take you to Port Eynon. About 1-1 1/2miles from P.E turn onto B4247 for Rhossili and Worms Head. Come back onto A4118 and at the sharp right head through lanes for Burry Green, turn left for Llangennith (good surf beach). Coming back from Llangennith stay on same road through Llanridian which becomes the B4295 to Gowerton. from there would you want to pick the M4 up again or follow "coast road" down to Carmarthen? When are you travelling?

Hello Nick, I'm leaving London approx midday Thurday 29th July and need to be on the 0245 ferry from fishguard to Rosslare. Your route around the Gower is ideal and then head back for the M4 and continue the journey. I guess I should have plenty of time to get there but would like to get to Fishguard before complete darkness and relax a bit :)

thks

Patrick

As you come into Gowerton go straight through 1st lights, straight through roundabout and left at next lights, turn right at r/bout, straight over next one then left at the next which will take you to J47. I'm not in work Thursday so if you want I could meet you somewhere and I''ll take you round,PM me for my mobile if you want. Nick.
