GPS for hiking & mountain biking

Hello GPS guru's

Any suggestions for a GPS that is suitable for the outdoor adventures without the GS.

Does anyone use the Quest for this?

You can use a quest if you tell it to calculate 'offroad' but it's more useful as an automotive/marine unit depending on the mapping loaded. You'd really be better off with 60 or 76 series with barometric altimeter and real compass built in. If you already have a license for maps then the 76cs would be the best thing for it.
