GPS satnav mount for zumo660 question.

Hi All,

I have tried looking at touratech, wunderlich, nippynormans and even bmw motorrads catologues, but i can't identify this gps mounting bar:

image taken form a thread on the zumo forum. i have also asked the question on there.

anyone here know who might make it/sell it?

touratech seem to sell something similar but certainly not like the one pictured.

Hi Eoghan,
the mount and bracket you are showing in the post is a BMW one made for there own sat nav,
the part No for the bracket is 71607707369 and the part No for the mounting kit is 71607713903 you can find them on the Micro Fiche for the GS on this site http://www.maxbmwmotorcycles.com/fiche/DiagramsMain.aspx?model=R1200GS 06-09&prod=112006-072009 .

Pretty much the way I mounted mine but I just used some old 'U' clamps I had around the place.

Seems to work fine. You might want to wrap some tape around the cross piece before mounting to give a bit of friction otherwise the unit has a tendency to tilt down over time.

thanks for the info... My only concern is would it interfer with my screen. standard gs screen set to the lowest tilt... I guess we'll wait and see.

Yeh BMW same as i got on my GS ive had the screen in all positions with no problem with it fouling the screen
