Ferries now booked so route planning/hotel finding in progress.

Day 1. 10pm ferry Plymouth to Roscoff, arriving 8 am.
Day 2. Down to La Rochelle for a 2 night stay.
4. Continue South to Pau
5. Over the Pyrenees to Soria in Spain.
6. Further West to Salamanca for another 2 night visit.
8 Aveiro, Portugal
9 Chaves.
10 Leon.
11 Comillas
12 Bilbao
13 Ferry to Pompey.
14 Night in Pompey.
15 Home.

we stayed here https://maps.app.goo.gl/L5xpKnAHfKHR575h7 in La Rochelle. Very friendly hotel in the old part of town with own gated car park (but prebook as only 12 spaces, we had 3 bikes in one space.

Total UK mileage..approx 457.
Total Europe mileage ..approx 1865.

We will have 11 days out of 15 on the bike..so an average of 211 per day.

Obviously the route can be altered to shorten it a bit to use major roads if the weather or other issues dictate.

So we are all booked for hotels and ferries, and routes planned finally!

Day 1. Leisurely ride to Plymouth to catch the 10pm sailing to Roscoff, arriving 8am.
Day 2. South to La Rochelle for a 2 night stay. Approx 316 miles.
Day 4. Further South to Aydius, in the Pyrenees. 270 miles.
Day 5. Over the Pyrenees, via the Col du Pourtalet, to Soria, Spain. 241 miles.
Day 6. Head West to Salamanca for another 2 night stay. 227 miles.
Day 8. Further West to Aveiro, Portugal. 206 miles.
Day 9. Head North East to Chaves, Portugal, via the Campea to Mondim de Basto road, the N304. 165 miles.
Day 10. North to Leon, Spain. 170 miles.
Day 11. North again to Pechon, Spain via some of the Pots and Pans roads. 151 miles.
Day 12. East to Bilbao, again using some of the Pots, Pans and Picos roads. 141 miles.
Day 13. Afternoon sailing from Bilbao, with a luxury cabin.
Day 14. Arrive Portsmouth 8.45pm. Overnight stay at local hotel on edge of town.
Day 15. Leisurely ride North to home.

So thats approx 445 miles in the UK and approx 1887 in Europe.

Should be a fun trip.
