Chaps,

Would there be any interest in a Group Buy for a complete set of new Graphics for the XChallenge

I have found a UK company, that does this sort of thing to a very high standard already for other bikes and could do some for us

They would be for the Front Mudguard, Tank Shrouds, Headlight Cowl, and Sidepanels/Rear Fender

Colours - to be decided - but probably a Blue/Red theme

Cost - depending on interest and numbers

Something similar to this...........................

interested. Cost?

Need to know how many..................:D

I would expect we would need 10 people, to make it worthwhile to use my bike for the initial templates and then do the relevant artwork

Once done, people could purchase a full set or component parts of a set perhaps

If it takes off in the UK, i will maybe offer it Worldwide

It's got to be better than the crap flaky paint syndrome, we have to endure from BMW

me too

if blue and the price is reasonable, count me in :thumb2

Slightly off topic JohnnyB, but if anyone hears of a set of unpainted XCh panels, ie, in plastic grey, please give me a shout. I could handle having a grey bike, well for the first couple of miles of each ride, until the mud starts.;)

Timpo.

Just to emphasise the above

What cost would be deemed reasonable?

The graphics would be v.thick, like 'tank pad type' material and very adhesive, so would extremely hard wearing and robust

You're asking a group of punters who are regularly submitting to anal penetration by BMW for their spare parts so anything would seem reasonable after that!
As one who has managed to keep his buttocks clenched together most of the time I would suggest that I would be prepared to pay $100 - $120 US for a kit which included Front Mudguard, Tank Shrouds, Headlight Cowl, and Sidepanels/Rear Fender

I would also suggest that you post on the ADVrider X-Challenge - Accessories/Farkles site

I am gauging interest here first, before opening it up there

It's embryonic at present:cool:

Price will be determined after he has measured up the templates on my bike and seen the work to be done

Hi JB..... Please see below a response I got from the company I emailed re this topic.... Self explanatory..... but may be cheaper than most as they have already done the templates. If they were approached re a group buy the price would probably be much less.

Don't know how much work you have done on this yet... but may be interesting.
a reponse to an email i sent re.. Xchallenge...

.....Hi Stuart, yes... we did, but no one seemed interested, so we stopped. We have all the templates and can custom design to your suggestions. If you are interested in a custom job, the total cost is ?120.00 plus post. If interested, please email a design, even if you'd like to follow the example of another bike you've seen and I will draw something up for you. Email images with details logos etc. Please email to [email protected] Thanks, Mark

New to the G650 X Ch, I just got mine 2 weeks ago. Did this graphics group buy ever materialize? The PO did some things with the graphics that I'd like to change. What would be the cost for the graphics shipped to southern California in the states?

I'm learning as much as I can about my new bike. I'm new to dual sport/off road but not to riding. I've been riding since 87.:beerjug:

Welcome to xc ownership, and the forum:thumb, good choice, as far as ime aware this initiative never got off the ground! Sorry Johnny if ime wrong:blast

It didn't because TWALCOM do a set for £99 or there are others on AdvRider, so i deemed it was already covered
