I was there this week on work too. Very nice place to work and play.

Try and got to a restuarent called 'Chez le Pas Gras' which is up in the hills above the city near the Batille.

there are some excellent Italian restaurants in the "Little Italy" area, alongside the northern bank of the river, below the Bastille hillside. (googles) Quai de la Perriere

Try 'Il Bernin'. Fantastic little restaurant 20 mins outside Grenoble at a place called Bernin, one of my favourite places in the whole world!
