Hi

I've had the GS-911 for less than a week (thanks Neil!) and it's been called into service already - 2005 GS.

A couple of times I have found that turning the ignition on turns on the LCD display, but not its backlight or any of the whirrs and fuel pumps.

Cycling the ignition a couple of times and it comes back to life (at least so far it does...)

Here's where the GS-911 comes in - the odd behaviour puts an error code in the ZFE (I had previosly cleared the code so I know its not an old unrelated error).

The error code is "41745:CAN-bus time out - no communication to DWA (Anti-theft alarm)"

I do have an alarm fitted, but never use it (don't even carry the fob)

Any ideas? Anyone had similar behaviour?

cheers
Darren

Have you tried looking for fault codes on the alarm with the 911?

If there's no communication perhaps the connector on the alarm has come adrift or is loose:nenau

Theres also a google group for 911 users here, in case you didn't know.

Interrogate the Alarm controller module DWA and see if it has fault codes.

Chances are it has a battery low fault (Vbat) within the alarm unit if the bike (and alarm) are a few years old.

Got a low battery on my alarm but it's not showing the 'no communication with DWA' code.

Hi

Just to follow up - bike became more and more erratic - new odyssey seems to have fixed it.

cheers
