Well to be honest with you mate I have put a re-turnable deposit on the Silver GS but still hankering after it in Black. I have a cooling off period until next week.

Seriously though until then does anybody know of a BM dealer with a Black ADV upto £8500.

I dont think anybody noticed I answered the wrong post before:blush

Test rode my first 1150GS Adventure today. It was a brand new demo bike with zero miles on the clock.I was a little nervous but I should`nt have been, what an awesome bike !!

Superb stability and handling very comfortable and such a pose to ride
I even thought the gearchange was good & nothing like the RT I rode previously which was clanky. But the ride is soooo smooth.

Here is the stoopid part. The demo bike was in Black which I have fallen for but the bike they have for sale is in Silver. Its a 2004 bike with 3000mls & 12mths manufacturers warranty remaining.Servo ABS,heated grips, hugger, baglux tank protector, hugger, Whi indicators, headlight protector, Aluminium luggage. The bike was up for £8500 I said I could not pay anymore than £8000 and amazed when he said he could do it for that.
I think the bike is fantastic value but god I love it in Black.Would you go for the colour you want or just say feck it I`ll have it.
Its a lot of cash and I have only just started looking.
That is a great deal! Take it quick before someone else does.

The few times that it has happened, I've always regretted not getting exactly what I wanted in a vehicle. So get exactly what YOU want. A few extra hundred won't make a difference over 5 or 10 years.

Black looks sharp in a showroom, but you have to stay on top of it in the real world if you want to maintain that deep shine. Both of my GS Adventures are White Aluminium. I wouldn't have taken black at any cost.

No, but just curious what the MSRP is on a GS Adventure in the UK.

I bought a new 2004 GS Adventure for £7250 including taxes, but that was discounted. Our BMWs also come with a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty.

Standard equipment is: 30 liter tank, GS Adventure full engine protection bars, heated grips, RID.

Ripped off again then.........

Last year ..................a 2004 GSA in that spec (without ABS) was in the region of £9135 OTR ........................some £2k more and we only get a 2 year warranty.

It includes our VAT @ 17.5% (what's sales Tax in USA/Canada?)

So between BMW and our taxation levels, we are paying more .........yet again!!! NOT A SUPRISE

There are 2 sales taxes in Canada. One is the federal/state tax, and the other is the provincial tax. They normally add up to the 15% mark.

So a bit more than BMW Canada prices without my discount (£9039). List for a GS Adventure is CA$18,700 + 15$ tax.

I guess we get a 3 year warranty because they know we can't ride all year long due to our winters.

Taxes in Ontraio are 7% GST and 8% PST for a total of 15%. This pays for programs like the gun registry that started off at $1M and ended up at more than $1B and solved absolutely nothing. Maybe the guns should be used to shoot some of our politicians. Then we have a Sponsorship Program where $100M went missing and they spent another $100M on some inquiry to find out where it went. Is it a prerequisite to have an IQ of 10 to become a politician? Lord help them if I end up with some terminal disease.

wtf £7250 new

Is the GSA better than the GS? I'm been toying with teh idea of trasing up to a GSA but I'm unsure about it. The 1200 has more of the hooligan element
