Hi there

I am having a bit of a problem attaching tank bag to my gsa.

I think I have purchased a GS tank bag and connection, the bag fits and attaches ok with the elastic head stock clip and zip but I cant fit the seat on place due to the bottom fixing bracket.

Does anyone know of a quick fix? is there a GSA zipper attachement as a direct swap?

As I said bag fits ok!

Hope the photos are usefull.

Thanks in advance

i think thats the wrong attatchment for the gsa, you need the one that hooks under the plastic. someone with greater knowledge will have part numbers i'm sure.

Tank Bag

The zip section hooks under the tank near the seat, the longer strip with the hook attaches to the ViN plate under the bars.
Mine had no extra attachments
The zipmsection has a sticky backing that attaches to the tank to make it easier to reatach after fueling etc
Did you not get the installation manual?
Hope this helps

yep wrong fitting as previously said you need the one that clips under the tank panel without the bracket

oh dear i thought so

is there any way of making the gs bag fit, is it not a case new zip connection??

I recently attached my 2005 GS tank bag to my new GSA.

I ordered the sticky backed dual-lock zipper for the 2005 GS... fit right on like the last bike.

+1 Dor the dual lock tape that's exactly what I use on my GSA and the bags never even so much as moved a MM. It's like velcro but has MUSHROOMS that are really really tough.

Thanks chaps

do you have any links for your super stickers> sounds like the way to go

If you wanted to keep it cheap, you could cut the thing you show in the photos, and using a decent adhesive (contact cement), glue the sticky backed Dual Lock tape to the zipper bit... (maybe pass a couple stitches through it)

https://www.vikingtapes.co.uk/c-11-3m-dual-lock.aspx

But easiest would be to order the part from BMW.. comes with the zipper part (with Dual Lock on the back).. and a bit of Dual Lock tape to stick on your (cleaned) tank-lower.

Not sure if all the tank-bags have the same length zipper..

Will give the 3M dual lock a try

Anyone checked out the price, must be woven with gold :nenau
