Hi Darren

What's the vibration like in 6th.

Yep! Greece was the dogs and the Adv. brilliant (Apart from the niggles I posted on a previous thread). Still not sorted. Rainbow took the bike out and said it was okay. I rode it back home and it 'clattered like bu@gery' under hard acceleration? Still, it's going in for it's 6000 service in a few weeks and it's warrantied - Just gonna keep riding. Needs sorting though - lot's of my hard earned dosh says so!

Seat was okay. I also have the lowered one but got knee ache after a full days riding. Shaun @ Rainbow is going to lend me a standard to try out. I'll let you know. Did get a little bit achey on the old cheeks but, not sure if this was new (1 day old) Alpinestars pants for the trip, 4 days of progressive riding, or a combination of both. Not concerned about the seat though.

No vibration noticed in 6th, but runs real sweet in 6th @ 90-93mph. (Though GPS says 7mph les approx.)

By the way..How many pics of your bike, you got posted at the moment ;) ?? Surely you had more than 1 piece of cake!! :D

Darren

Me again!

Yeah, I was a little suprised I got no replies, I was hoping I wasn't alone and someone would say "Don't worry, it's.....just a little adjustment etc..."

OOOPS!

Sorry Mark, just pressed by mistake.

By the way, just kidding about the pics, you got a nice paint job and I'm only jealous. So you liked the Adv. then? When's it coming? :D

Take it easy

Price Rip Off !

Well guy's the new price of an Adventure is 16,500 euro. I have found 13 second hand models in Germany from 10400 euro (two months old and 80 km on the clock). I will probably buy one and keep it until it's six months old.....then "import" it.

All prices are in Euro.....the real currency....sorry UK readers but we are here to stay.

Hi Luke
Are you going to get it yourself or are you going through an agent
who would ship it over to you ?

Gauloises

Germany.

I think I will get it myself. I have spoken to dealers and getting the export plates is no problem. I have also spoken to a private seller and found him to be very helpful. He would collect me from airport etc. I will have to pay tax of 1100 euro when I import the bike as long as it's six months old and has 3750 miles on clock or KM equivalent. Ireland is far more relaxed than the UK about riding on foreign plates so its not a major problem.
