Can anyone suggest a suitable backrest for the R1100GS ? A couple of pillions have asked but i've never seen one fitted. I have used a topbox and pad but don't like it for everyday pootling !

Paul

BestRest make a removeable backrest, but it's bloody expensive. Their website is here.

Thanks for that !

Thank you for your response, you are right it is BLOODY expensive, I think i'll put up with losing the odd pillion !

For something that looks like it has been made using an old meccano set and a bit of vinyl wrapped foam I think they are really taking the pi$$ asking $495 for it - are they having a laugh ?

Have a look at Corbin here...............

Back rest

The best back rest is the Givi top box with back rest fitted (an extra £18)
you get the storage and security, 55 litre box is about £189.
cheers from Barrie

Just saw the "BackRest" American site, they must be in cloud cookoo land asking $495 for that.....the Corbin one looks really nice though. But the Givi is the answer,

Job done !

Collected the 'home brew' kit from Running Dog, fitted in moments, jod done for a very reasonable price ! All I need now is some red sheepskin to finish it off.

In case anyone else is looking for a backrest, I've just received an Email from MV Motorrad showing a newly released backrest for the GS (but not for the Adv) - from €129......
