Wanting one, I called the usual suppliers but to no avail-:(
I could not find one of those until I contacted:
SW-MOTECH GmbH & Co.KG :)
Bahnhofstrasse 44 D
35282 Rauschenberg

Telefon: 06425 / 8168-00
Fax: 06425 / 8168-10

and spoke to a very helpful lady called Pamela who speaks very good English.:thumb

Just thought I would pass on this info

Corkonian

...did you do a stock check before posting? ... thought not...

Wunderlich- none available
Touratech - none available in France, UK nor Germany HQ....
So, IF anyone is looking for one available now, SW-Motech has them.

Corkin' post Corkonian :thumb open mouth and ...change foot :D ;)

When I was looking for one for my Scarver at Wunderlich I noticed the manual for how to put it on the bike are made by SV-Motech.
So I guess Wunderlich can send you one once they got one from SV-Motech, then! :)

You can get one from BMW for the Dakar, if you like. But that do not fit the CS, so I had no choise.
I really like my SV-Motech stand, and the BMW-mechanic who changed my belt said it was fine! Good quality.:thumb

:) Liv.

This is why I hate smilies - somone can be a prick and because they add a few ;) or :thumb it's all OK!

Hi Liv

Motech came up trumps and sent in 3 days. Excellent support and I can recommend them- As no stock anywhere, the stand came form Germany.

p.s Korkonian...I really don't think you're a pr**k ...but if you really feel you are, who am I to contradict you! :D welcome to the board- You'll fit right in

p.p.s rude words are not encouraged here BTW.:nono

no special need to do a stock check, as you say if someone wants one now then they follow your link. If people search the forum at a later date for information about getting a centre stand they have corkonians info as well.

I agree with corkonian on the smileys, I'm new to this forum (I mainly just read it) but I post on a few forums and you're totally right. You try and offer some help and people throw some crap back at you but, hey, they put a smiley at the end so it's not really rude is it?

Got my Dakar yesterday but dont half miss the center stand. Now then, is it special one for the dakar(its higher) and is it likely to touch down on bends. would I be better extending the side stand as it seems too short as it is, the bike leans on its ear........... see no smilies..

Yeah, you'll need to get a Dakar specific stand from Berts link.
Don't think it'll touch down, but I could be wrong. It will clash with the side stand so extending it might cure two stones with one bird. Or something. :thumb
