GS Dakar mirror thread

Can anyone confirm whether the thread on the left hand mirror on a Dakar is normal "clockwise to go in"? I've got to remove the remains of one from the handlebar mounting.

the mirror part of the assemply has no thread, it clamps into the mount on the handlebar (similar to a cable gland if you've ever used them) , loosen off the top nut and the mirror should come away (upwards) with a plain shaft.

I know this because a phesant took out a mirror on my 06 dak,

service manager replaced it whilst i waited

RC you totaly missed the point there....

CJG the threads are standard clockwise-screw counterclockwise un-screw. It can be a bit tricky to get the threads alligned though
