Just returned from an 8000mile 13 country hop across to the Iran border through Turkey and returned via Greece, Italy, Switzerland, Luxembourg and France. The GS never missed a beat and was never left behind by a plethora of sports bikes. The bike performed impleccably. Averaging 300-400 miles a day, it was a real pleasure. If you're thinking of buying one.....Do it !

What sort of mileage bike are you running .

Did you do it on the same set of tyres.

Oh & congratulations on an epic trip.

Hi Yall
The bike came back with just over 26k on the clock and ran the whole way on a new set of Tourances. The back wheel has just started to square off but I reckon theres at least 2-3k left. Those tyres were fantastic by the way. Turkish roads are Sh*te and only one time did I get a twitchy arse cause I went into a corner a bit too bullish and the front skipped a beat. Most of the way we broke it down into 100 miles then a 15 min break then another 100 miles and so on it went. I have an Air Hawk seat pad and to be honest the only twinge I suffered was between the shoulders occasionally.

Heres a couple of pics to look at

Heres a couple more pics including one of an incident involving one of our team and a Turkish Taxi driver. Put him in hospital and wrote off his bike. (Not a GS). He's Ok thankfully.
