Due to Chris’s, AKA ‘The Stunt Monkey’ small build and crash testing skills we had her GS lowered. Many thanks to Vern.

Check out the photo’s….

My GS

Chris's 3" Lower GS, no more tip toe

measurments shown are when the GS's are on the center stand with the rear wheel touching the ground measuring from the rear rack to the ground.

Result, one very happy Crash test Dummy

Easy Mick, just re-drilled the rear shock bottom mounting 18mm higher up the shock.

Yo Low Rider

A couple of q's

Is that a 1100 or a 1150 and how does it handle now?

The angle of the dangle must of changed quite a bit has it slowed the steering down.

Graham (also vertically challenged 1150GS rider).

Graham, they are both GS11's, you can't lower the 1150's the same way.

As for handling I haven't rode it since the mod but, Chris says it is no different.

Doesn't that arrow dig in when going round right handers????

No I thought of everything... it's made of the soft bendy stuff that goes around windows to keep out the draft. The numbers are just preformed 'bendy stuff'.
So on right handers the whole lot just bends out of the way.
She has to be careful on left handers as it tends to swing towards the wheel & spokes... could be nasty

:D:D:D

If you've tjought of everything, why is your number plate illegible? Surely thats got to be ripe for a tug from the feds?

It's a 'Web Plate' you can't see it's true identity on the Web but, on the road it's fine.

:)
