GS Models

I know in the past there has been a lot of interest on this forum, with regards to toy models/replicas of our great motorcyle the GS. Unfortunately not many people where able to assist in tracing a replica, close to the lets say Minichamps standard. I thought I would just let you know that whilst at the Paris motorcyle show I did see and attempt to buy such a thing at the BMW stand. They had on display the finest example of the mark I have yet come accross, unfortunately I was too late. The only model that was left, was the original R80G/S Paris/Dakar. The other model on display I was interested in was the R1200GS, all sold out of course, but every colour was present, including the 06 Grey. They were beautiful and highly accurate examples, and were retailing at 55 euros. I have a feeling that these models are the latest from Schuco, as there were several vintage BM's on display, 1 of which I already have, the 'Schorsch Meier R50TT memorial'. I have already e-mailed Schuco, in my finest Deutsch, making enquiries as to there existance. I know they are out there and I will find them. This is my mission. If anyone can assist me it would be much appreciated. I must have one of these. I know I'm stupid, its was only when I had left, did I think about making them an offer on the ones on display. Silly me!!!! (Sorry I have no pics either)

BMW shop here in The Netherlands. Had to order it in... took 4 days I think..... 50 euro... I got to pick the color.

I'm suprised your BMW shop won't???

What is it?

It's a 7" long highly detailed model of a GS... Almost looks like the real deal don't it?

As I hinted at in the above post, the suspension works, wheels turn, foot pegs fold, (but the brake and shifter don't move)

Unfortunately it's my only bike at the moment.. but that is going to change in a short while...
