I decided to get my bike licence 4 weeks ago. . ( ridden field bikes etc before) booked all 3 courses and managed to get mainly cancellations and on the 17th of may 2005 .. sucsessfully passed. . . i had never ridden a 1150gs ever but on the advice of a close friend and gs owner purchased a 2002 1150 gs 3 days later ... although i was really looking at somethimg like an LT or an RT because they look so cosy , i stuck with the advice that i would not regret buying it . on sunday my friend an i went for a lovely long ride on motorways, country roads, back streets and then through a know cyclists woodland track (literally) where heads turned and mouths opened to the floor. . where people could only stop to admire and wish. . what amazed me the most was that it took such a short time to realise that u just cant beat it .... and secondly it sparked a question . . .y is there a GS or NOT thread . . .when the answer is so clear . . . .i look forward to meeting u all soon
