A while ago somone posted a mod on how to get a mechanical speedo drive working when using R1100s wheels. If said person could e mail me with some advise, it would be greatly aprieciated.

hi ian,
i think the chap your looking for is mike chalmers , what he had done was some lathing done on his wheel (i think) so the bearing sits further in , making the gs drive fit , i also have heard that the drive from the 1150rt fits straight in ,not sure but you can phone your friendly bmw dealer to find out, me i just got digital speedo rigged up on mine works a treat . have you done it to your bike or are you in prosess ? they do look better and definetly go round corners , hope this helps.
