Well the 1100gs project is going very slowly, i have yet to strip the console down to get at the broken indicator stalk, can't believe the amount of work to get at it, (several hours lost on siezed bolts)and nowt in Clymer or Haynes:thedummy also figure out how to remove the broken 6mm cast allen key stuck in the middle of the gearbox drain plug :blast.
I have read loads and downloaded the docs on the abs brakes, i have replaced the rear caliper and fitted Goodrich line and predictably have no rear brake, i am about to start the front full strip and rebuild and goodrich lines so apart from having to be very carefull pushing it about the garage from what i have gleaned from my studies i have to take the tank off and and bleed the ABS pots 1st then the calipers. What i am concerned about is getting it back together doing all that and still having no brakes. I don't think i am thick but the instructions do not actually say how you bleed the ABS system under the tank, i assume with the leavers :nenau.
Managed to get the remainder of the bashplate (removed with crowbar ) rubber mounted bolts out of the sump (with advice from agood man from Derbyshire on here :thumb) ready to fit new. My mate has a contact who is going to fry whats left of the exhaust studs out when i can get it over to him and his welder as per previous advice.
Nearly got all the stainless kit fitted, seats are re-covered, new seat locking mechanism fitted, new clutch fitted, service kit (apart from gearbox oil ) whole arse end stripped and repainted. still got stainless footpeg pins to fit as i snapped the rear footrest hanger in half getting too keen with a hammer :blast so left them for a bit. Running out of drills and easyouts but do have every anti-rust product known to man on the shelf so the bastard won't corrode again when i have finished :clap. It will probably only owe me 20k aswell :thedummy.
Any advice on the bits i am about to undertake would be most helpfull

I did the front indicator thing recently Den, its not as bad as it seems.
Remove screen
remove headlamp bolts and allen bolts adjacent to them
Lift headlamp assembly (I needed to disconnect the adjuster on the back)
There is one more allen bolt in the middle under the headlamp and the alloy thing is off. You can now get at the indicator nuts.
I used a big plastic syringe and some plastic tube to bleed the brakes, I did it backwards, ie bottom to top, worked fine, just empty the reservoir first.
PM me if you get stuck and we can do telephone.

Stewart

Thanks Stewart, saved me some time on the indicator. I have syringe i use for suckin out brake fluid etc. Do i fit the new seals and pistons / lines then do the syringe thing from bleed nipple ?

Its been a while since I did it but I think I did, I also pulled fluid out of the ABS bleeders under the tank,(Gently) time to do it again soon, Im sure it will come back to me.
