OK, I need to find an switch wire to set the relay for my Centech fuse box. The wire only needs to be live when the ignition is on. I have stared at the manuals wiring diagram for ages and I am afraid this is not my strong point...so over to the experts..

The bike is a 98 GS1100

cheers

Ignition wire.

If you always ride with you lights on take it off the feed to the rear light easiest, the other way take a feed from the fuel pump circuit easiest way from the battery side of the fuse via a local fuse to your relay. By the battery side i mean the side of the fuse that does not connect to the pump.
Pull out the fuel pump fuse and turn on the ignition, put one probe of a volt meter to earth (frame bolt) and the other probe into the fuse base, one side will hagv a voltage and this is the side to connectyour reelay VIA A LOCAL FUSE (3a-5a) will be fine. Disconnect the batery before doing the wiring,
good lick it sounds worse than it is if you havent got or can't borow a meter
a 12volt bulb with two leads will do.
