Not a brilliant picture I'm afraid, but useful to know that Maverick's headlamp protector unit fits very well on the GS1150/GS1150 Adv with the Desierto II Fairing unit.

Will take a better picture (less evidence of my sad domestic life in background) when the weather improves.

how did you get your bike through that door ?
:blast
Now you've done it!

He's not going to be able to answer 'cos he's busy taking the bike apart to get it out!

Any chance of a riders perspective photo of the Desierto?

I've always fancied one but so far have been put off by the possible unfinished GRP inside.

Ha ha !

It's either an optical illusion or the back door of the garage !

(1) Red spark plug covers - bit of an experiment really. This is a spare set of covers. I had them sprayed to match the red flash in the tank. Looks nice out in the open.
(2) Maverick may still have some for sale. They are really well made in my opinion and very nicely finished.
(3) I will get a riders perspective this weekend and get it posted. No problem.
(4) Yes, it is supplied unfinished and the finish out of the TT factory is a bit rough. I worked closely with the spray shop (who were superb). It was carefully rubbed/sanded down. Then it had 5 coats of silver all allowed to air dry (no hot/oven drying). The inside finishes were sprayed matt black (3 coats). The finish was superb. Basically, I treated he whole thing as a project. I ordered it in September and it took until December to arrive as TT made it specially (no stock allegedly). Then I took 6 weeks to get it prepped and then another week to fit it - it went on in 90 mins start-to-finish. And it fitted 100% so well done Touratech.

Frankly, I have not seen any other GS1150 Adv with a Desierto and even the dealer said it was unique. Gets quite a few looks, although maybe not all admiring. It's beautiful in my opinion from some perspectives and not so aesthetic from others. It's a tad "breezier" but seems faster as there's less resistance. The screen is a work of art, sculptured and contoured more than a photo can show.

Anyway - if anyone is interested in Desierto fairings, drop me a line.
