]has anybody any idea? my 2001 1150 gs has started leaking oil down the left handside dripping into the bash plate at the rear of the gearlever,could it be the gearbox seal i have heard of?

Is it leaking from the oil filler cap? That's a common problem solve with a couple of 'o' rings.
