gsa 1200 suspension

advice required....
am in france right now but will be passing through uk probably portsmouth area in may on way to ireland HU meet...
i would love to upgrade my suspension it has esa but i have nearly 60,000kms this yr so feel it may be good to renew,refit,upgrade.
can anyone reccomend...

1.type of shock

2.place to get service for the bike and fitting of said new shocks.

(i am leaning towards hyperpro but seems i will have to ride up to holland to get them?).
any ideas would be appreciated as i am not from roun, thees parts!?!?!

I can't recommend a place as I am yet to rebuild my own shocks but (correct me if I'm wrong) with ESA if you change the shock to Hyperpro, or something else you will 'break' the ESA. It might be best to get a quote from BMW to rebuild the original shock so you keep the ESA functional, unless of course you want to disable/remove the functionality.

Are the shock(s) giving you trouble, is there a reason why you think they need to be repaired or replaced apart from having travelled 60,000kms?

Not so. Hyperpro and Wilbers do ESA compatible units...

I know for certain Wilbers do front and rear. I also know for sure Hyperpro do the rear already and the front, if not already out, will be available soon.

Wilbers fitting agent in UK is Revs Racing in Halesowen who did mine to my own bespoke settings...

As above, Wilbers WESA units. I had the stock Wilbers on my previous 2004 GS, made to my spec, and they were brilliant. When my current suspension wears out thats what I will be putting on my 2008 GSA.

You don't have to send yours off first if they are going to fit them...

They get your new shocks in - you ride up - they fit them - you get the old ones back...

i am looking into the revs option right now thanks for that.
i am not fussed about the esa option as i actually prefer to be able to change the front and back as needed.i did a crossing yr before(gt central desert rd and gunbarrel hway....lotsof sand) on my old gsa and the ability to do that got me through(coz i am a crap rider to be sure).this esa has been ok in moderate conditions but the front blew on me in alaska before i might add doing the dempster.i have never had confidence with the standard shocks since and feel i should just keep the old ones as spares.
i also guess the baloney i had with bmw re the shock didnt get me all warm and fuzzy either.
so revs i shall be contacting .
any other options or ideas out there please add.
