Hi

does anyone happen to know where I can buy some petrol tank protectors, not the big thick pads! But the thin see through ones as I have noticed I am scratching my nice red gas tank-----where belly meets bulge hump:JB

I need em for a 2009 1200 GSA please.

Big D:)

I had one from here on my previous bike: http://www.thetankslapper.biz. Seemed to do the trick but you need to put it on in the warm to make it stay on properly. You can barely see it if you avoid getting air bubbles under it and it stayed put for 4 years. Just peeled it off when I sold the bike and it looked as good as new.

I think Nippy Norm sells a sticker kit that is see through. I don't know if it's any good or not. Williams in Manchester have a contact who can fit near invisible protective film templates onto your tank. I had mine done there and it looks pretty good. If you were not specifically looking for the protective transfer you wouldn't notice that it was fitted. I'm really pleased with the finished product.

I have the NN tank and panel protection film on my standard '08 GS - and you would not notice it unless you take a close look.

Was a pig to apply but worth the effort and the time it took.

"Thanks" for the help so far..... this firm look very good and its got to be harder than that to install? but I like the idea of no adhesive unlike 3M tape.

I also bought my GSA from Williams at Manchester (great people) Even though "Rainbow" is local. So I will ask them about their fittings to.

Cheers
