The fog lights on a GSA are connected to the switch via a couple of electrical connectors. I want to put a different set of lights on and the easiest way would be to use the same electrical connector.

I'm somewhat hampered in my search as I don't know what the plugs are called. Do these plugs have a specific name I can Google for and do you now what it is or does anyone know where I can get a couple from please?

Thanks.

Kevin

Afaik they are bmw connectors and are not available anywhere on the aftermarket. Your best bet is to chop them off and replace. Advise that you leave enough cable on the connector you chop off to allow it to be rejoined should you want to put the bike back to stock.

GSA spots connectors.

Kevin,
Give Les Wassall of this parish a call.

I got leads that connect to the BM harness as part of my ID kit for the fogs.

The connectors are not a 100% match (one of the notches on the lead needs trimming down) but they do plug into the harness. The other end of the lead (connects to the HID ballast) could then be trimmed off.

That way the bike wiring stays original.

Thanks Alan. Now I've researched this a bit better I think the manufacturer of the lights I have may be able to supply me one but if not I'll give Les a call.

I'd sooner not chop off the connectors unless there really is no other option.

Can you post a pic of the connector? It might be something like an AMP connector as a lot of the connectors on the 1200 are.

Here you go. Pictures one and two show the plug I want to connect to, the third is the socket in the auxiliary light it currently goes into.
