Ok so I sold a set of Pivot pegs to a guy on here and he says they didn't fit right on the bike right and sat up in the air:nenau

They were fitted to My 2014 Gsa as in the picture.

What I'm wandering is if they have changed the frame on the gsa since 2014 to date.

The 2013 gs frame was supposed to be different but this is baffling me as to why they fitted my bike but wont fit the 2015 model

Help appreciated if any one knows please

Fitted my pivot pegs that I had on a 2013 gs to my 2015 gsa with no problem, maybe not fitted correctly ?

I was with Andy when he shot that little bit of video

the left peg was no problem and sat square and true whereas the right peg was nit square to the frame ( it sort of pointed backwards) and would not fold away at all

My only observation is that the rear brake pedal is attached to that foot peg mount and has a screw/bolt within it which is what stopped the peg from folding back. I do not know if this is the change that causes the issue but suspect it to be the case.

Is the earlier GSA different ? does it have a separate "Hanger" for the rear brake pedal ? is it just the GS GSA difference ?

Who knows but i can confirm that they definitely did not fit

Andy bike is a 2016 TB

This is what Nippy Normans say on their website about Pivot Pegz designed for R1200 GS LC 2013 onwards and R1200 GSA LC 2014 onwards:

Fits:
R1200GS LC 2013 onwards (NOTE: the right peg will not fold completely)
R1200GS LC Adventure 2014 onwards.(NOTE: the right peg will not fold completely)

What it does not say is that the right peg will not fit sqauer to the bike and will look like its been dropped and bent backwards

It was very strange

I was sceptical until i saw with my own eyes

Is it possible that they are L/R handed and that they are on the wrong side

It does seem strange and my new ones that arrived yesterday will be going straight back if I have the same experience!:blast

Be interesting to see what it says on the box and piccies of the fitment

Actually I dont care it isnt my bike and the only interest i really had was a good laugh at Andy G

Nothing a Dremel cannot fix. I moved my pivot pegs from my 2013 to the 2016 adv. The right side peg sits folded because of the placement of the nut holding the brake lever. File the bit of the pivot pegs that touches the nut and Bob's yer uncle. Sorted.

Enjoy and ride safe.

Maybe I didn't have a bolt in my brake leaver:D

Well I managed to squeeze half an hour in the shed this morning before hitting the office. Talk about a simple job. Small C clip on the underside of each peg. Pin slides out, out comes old footrest, in goes Pivot Pegz and Bob's your Uncle!

Everything works exactly as I had expected. The left hand side main pin needed a tad of persuasion to go back but it was truly easy and everything nice and square in every plane!:thumb

Apologies for the crap pictures - they were taken in a hurry before leaving for work!
