I'm finding the position of the handlebars on my new GSA really uncomfortable, my hands sort of lean in towards each other (if this makes any sense). I noticed it on the test ride and thought I'd just get used to it, but it doesn't seem to be getting any better. Is it possible to adjust them at all ?

This is a common problem Dave, do a search and you will find lots about it. The first thing to do is rotate the bars forward, this worked for me but some do that and add up and back risers.
It takes a few minutes to rotate the bars, you will need a torque wrench to tighten them again, 25nm I think it was but best to check. Hope this helps!

I Rolled mine backwards and now it just right.Make sure you dont roll it too far or youll touch the tank on full lock. Makes a big difference.Bar risers arn't yet out for the GSA with the spot light switch on the centre of the handle bars AFAIK because the bar bolts are threaded to accept the light switch ,and no one does these bolts yet.:nenau or do they?:nenau

This sounds good, thanks very much - are the ones I'm looking to loosen either side of the stem of the wing mirrors ? I don't want to risk doing the wrong thing and having the wheels fall off or something......

Try Niel at BMW Bike Bits ( link at top of page ) had my 35mm bar risers for a little under a year now and sorted out above mentioned problem:clap

I have the Touratech 35mm bar risers on my 06 GSA.
But i still cant find a comfy position :(
I'm considering changing to renthal as long as the curves are a little different?

Saw Neil at Bike Bits, he was very helpful. Got the 25mm risers tho haven't fitted them yet - moved the bars closer towards me and its helped a lot, but still not right - for me they are still angled uncomfortably and I don't think the riser will help. Might go for the Renthal option as well. Or maybe get some German wrists fitted.....

I just bought a new GSA and have the same problem. All my weight seems to be taken on the inside of my hands (between my index finger and thumb) and it causes me a lot of discomfort. I rotated the bars forward (up) and this helped a lot but made the indicators awkward. I then moved them backwards. Unfortunately the left one and grip is held in place via a small bolt that goes through the handlebar. I driled a new 4mm hole through the bar (not a real good idea but it worked) at an appropriate place and rotated the switchgear backwards.
All OK so far.
