I am crap on computers
I am krap speller

OK lets go

I am thinking about getting myself an 09 GSA

All the bits ESA etc

most of the blokes I see on GSA are all 6.4inch monsters

I am 5.10 is any body out there less than this
and if so do you handle it OK

Befor you start .Yes I have test riden one, I am just interested in the views of a few people whohave GSA for a longer time

I'm 5'8" (taller when I'm lying down!)...

Give it a few days and you'll get used to her. Now its like putty in my hands, even through central london at rush hour. Fully loaded with pillion and panniers and you have to think where and when yo put your feet down but. Put the front seat on the lower setting and you will be fine.

I am 5Ft 8 and fitted a low seat from Touratech (much nicer on the behind than the BMW option) and have no trouble at all with the size of the GSA

I'm 5'10" with a 30" inside leg (by far the more important factor here) and I got on with my '08 GSA just fine up until I had to sell it. I could get toes to the ground on both sides with a stretch, but I'd usually slide across the seat slightly and flat-foot on one side or the other.

Personally, I find that the GSA carries its weight well and I took a pillion on my old bike without a lowered seat or anything like that. If it were fully loaded with luggage or if I were taking it onto heavily rutted ground I'd probably want to bung a lower saddle on it though.

As a further endorsement: I pick up my '10 GSA on Monday.

Inside leg measurement much more important than height. Mine is 30". I use a BMW low seat with a gel pad. No problems. I can get both feet on the ground.

5'7" tall with 29 inch inside leg have fitted sargent low seat and no problems at all. Rode a 2010 bike the other day with standard seat and still no problems. All in the mind :D

Im stumpy to, (ind a crep spelor two!) fit the standard GS seat it lowers things and, dare I say it, is more comfortable than the GSA seat!

if you are taller or have min 30 inch inside leg its a more suitable bike for you. If you are shorter expect the occasional problem getting it off the stand on an adverse camber. you will drop it occasionally - everyone confesses to this so head protectors are a v good idea. I have found that after a couple of months and 3500 miles my confidence with it is much better. Coming to a stop smoothly using the rear brake helps a lot. overall it is a great bike and the many plus points out weigh this slightly concerning but manageable issue IMO.

Agree about the camber, dropped mine on a badly cambered road after 3 days of ownership. Only my pride and the RH pannier dented.

I now seek out flatter ground to park as a matter of habit.;)
