Been away in italy and spotted a lockable box on a 2011 gsa. it sits on the non-exhaust side (rhs) behind the pannier frame, still allowing fitment of the pannier. seems a real sensible addition. marking on box says MODELTEA? DESIGN, but when googled, nothing comes up

any ideas ???

i took some pics but cannot seem to find how to add here

cheers

Twalcomm Raid Box by Modeltek

Serge,
Have been looking at this for a while and as they are Italian and thats where you spotted it would make sense. It is product sold under Twalcom banner from Adventure Bike Warehouse which is featured in the vendors section.

Before you set your mind to it have a look on You Tube as there are some interesting videos of the raid box.

I'm pretty sure the OP is thinking of the Gs emotion one.....do a search as they have been discussed before on here....

.....I've actually purchased one, but not fitted it yet. It's a quality item, well made and not too expensive, and easy to fit.

There are those that say it's just extra weight...but for me I'm going to use it to carry oils and light spares that I'd rather not carry in the panniers.

Was it this one??

Bought from Adventure Bike Warehouse, I did look at the Ali box but the guy couldn't tell me what the dimensions were of the opening so I could make sure I could get my little compressor in, so bought this one in stead.

Serge

Mark, you get my support!
Just make sure that it doesnt touch with the rear mud guard. The Twalcom one do touch it if the GSA in 2 persons! So it is a NO-GO for me!

And make sure it is WATERPROOOF!!!!

I`ll try

I`ll try to make it waterproof as i have found I need the same thing but the box is subject to something just short of a pressure washer when its raining and being so close to the wheel.

i`ll do my best...............

Any suggestions would be welcome!

Looking forward to it Mark it would be handy if the lock could be the same as the rest of the luggage.

ha - little chance

yes it would be nice mate but with all things being equal its very doubtful to be honest. I think the waterproof requirement might be the biggest challenge before I even start to look at locks.

We`ll see...............

Regards and thanks for the suggestions.
