GSA low seat

Hi,

Can any one recommend a low seat for a 1200gsa, something that is still comfortable on long trips.

Sometimes on long journeys you have to move your position around on the seat.
I have a reduced height seat, and I find moving further forward (humping the tank) can work on longer rides.

I use a standard gs seat & use the front adjuster on max & the rear on low to stop me ass being constantly pushed towards the tank.

That's true ! The Kahedo seat is 'firm' on the arse, to say the least

so an airhawk pad is a good idea for longer runs & touring

I've got the Sargent low seat. Used it all day, every day for a week plus last summer in the Picos. Never noticed it.
My only comment would be that when you put your foot down you notice a ridge pressing against the underside of the thigh. I thought this would bother me. It doesn't, I hardly notice it now, maybe I just keep my feet up?

I'm not long legged . I have a BMW low seat with a gel insert from Mr. Archer for £60 which is fine in town and about. I have recently acquired a used Airhawk and I must say it does what it says on the tin. Plus free air conditioning with patented Airhawk Airflow system (i.e. mesh). If I were to do it from start I would have tried a Sargent something.

I took my standard GSA seat to an upholsterer down the road he cut about 2inches of foam out and shaped it for me at a cost of £40 and it's fine. I can quite easy do 250 miles before bum and leg fatigue sets in..

If you get a sore arse on long distance riding maybe it's time for you to pull over and have a coffee and a stretch

Thanks for that information I will be looking at doing the same myself, BMW are loaning me a low seat whilst I get mine lowered/altered.
